If you come to Indonesia for short time visit especially around Jakarta Area, You should make your way to get lost in Bandung. Not so far away from Jakarta, Bandung offers different atmosphere from crowded Jakarta lives. Thats why many Jakarta civilian escape their routinity to Bandung every weekend. You can rent a car, take a bus or train, or my favorite one, riding my bike through Bogor city.
The story about this city started when Napoleon conquered Netherland. He sent H.W. Daendels as governor for Dutch East Indies (colonial era of Indonesia). The prostitutes then associated to flowers since their beauty. After all, you need to take a rest in Alun alun while enjoying the beauty of Grand Mosque of Bandung.
